Stillness Meditation – Heart Preparation

Devoutly spend three to five minutes intentionally placing yourself in God’s presence and becoming consciously aware that He is with you. Despite your solitude, you are not alone—the triune God is present with you and within you.

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life [a beware life]. It’s adventurously expectant [a be-aware life], greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with Him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with Him! {Romans 8:15-17 Message, emphasized}

Be open.
Walk slowly.
Bow often.
God’s metronome is slower than our pace. Slow your pace within. Do not gaze anxiously toward the distant future or look to others for your tempo—rest in the present moment, where God dwells.
Within the quiet hearth of stillness, embers of awareness glow—subtle, persistent, and alive with possibility. These embers are not the flames of striving, but the gentle warmth of Presence, illuminating what lies hidden beneath the noise. In their soft, steady radiance, contemplation finds its home.
Slow down and attune to God’s rhythm. Let your spirit settle until you move with His pace, not your own. The embers of my soul recognize your Father’s voice—in spontaneous or intersecting thoughts, in subtle inner responses, in a gentle release from self-analysis or self-exertion, in the quiet arrival of a surprising thought.
Discernment arises in the contemplative hush. It is the art of listening deeply—an openness of heart to the Spirit’s movement and the quiet communications of God. Often heard in the unexpected, always recognized by the soul’s inner ember-light, discernment teaches us in stillness to notice, to receive, and to discern.
Pause in stillness for a moment. Selah.
The Location of My Heart – opening your dialogue with God

*The answers to these questions are just for you. You will not be asked to share them publicly. Be honest with yourself—God already knows the location of your heart; He just wants an invitation to join and be with you where you are.

As you sit with the Father, quiet your heart and answer these questions honestly, opening a gentle dialogue with Him about the location of your heart.
In this season of your life, what thoughts most often occupy your mind?
What feelings have been most present in your heart during this season?
How has your body felt in this season of your life?
What longing or desire has been strongest in you during this season?
In a single sentence, where are you today? How would you describe your current place or state of mind?
In one sentence, what is God doing in this season of your life?

Before you log onto our first session, say these words to the Father

Father, I come before You—drawn by Your invitation to rest, to hope, and to renewal. In the quiet of Your presence, I lay before You every wound, every weary thought, every question unanswered.
Breathe Your life into the depths of my soul. Awaken my spirit to discern Your voice above all others. Sharpen my heart’s ear to recognize the gentle whisper of Your Spirit, that I may follow You with wisdom, courage, and unwavering trust. Calm every anxious thought and teach me to rest in Your guidance, even when the path is hidden.
Let me be ever aware of Your nearness—anchored in Your love, surrendered in trust, open to the transforming power of Your presence. Here I am, Lord, longing for You, awaiting the fullness of Your touch and the clarity of Your voice. Selah.
