Breathe
Still and concentrate on your breath, whispering prayers to calm your mind, spirit, and body. As you acknowledge God’s presence, let these short phrases from the scriptures usher in peace.
If you’re new to practicing breath prayers, here’s a gentle guide to help you get started.
Begin by taking three or four slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling completely.
As you practice your breath prayer, pause after each sentence to take three or four deep breaths before proceeding to the next sentence. After completing your final exhale, pause in stillness for a minute.
