Mingle Divina

Mingle Divina weaves together visio, lectio, poetica, and musica divina—four distinct forms of meditative prayer—into a unique and transformative spiritual practice. Each element offers a different path to encounter the divine: visio divina engages your imagination through visual contemplation, lectio divina invites deep reflection on sacred texts, poetica divina opens you to God through poetic expression, and musica divina uses music—melody and lyrics alike—as a gateway to the sacred. By uniting these practices, Mingle Divina invites you to listen to God's voice in fresh, profound ways, deepening your spiritual journey and enriching your relationship with the divine.

Why Mingle?

Mingle {v} to blend, to unite, or combine.

Mingle Divina {Visio, Lectio, Poetica, Musica} blends and unites us, opening our hearts to God, who is "The Divine."

The Hebrew root word for mingle means to knead, as in bread.

When we open our hearts to receive, God gives us The Bread we need through mingling, nourishing, and comforting our hearts.

Divina Prayer Mingle

Explore Visio, Lectio, and Musica Divina mingled together.

Lectio: Read and pause.

Musica: Listen, remain still, and simply be present.

Visio: Gaze upon the image and contemplate its meaning.

If you wish, write what you sense Jesus showing you.

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.

When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—

Because I am God, your personal God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior.

Isaiah 43:2 (The Message)

Is there any area where fear and worry are tugging at me, weighing me down, or pulling me under?

Allow yourself to “just be” as you listen.

Can you identify the challenges you’re facing today and throughout this season and find His message of hope?

Talk to Jesus. He sees and knows what you’re feeling and going through, and He responds. He is the “God Who Sees.”

On the day I needed You, I called, and You responded and infused my soul with strength.

Psalm 138:3 (The Voice Translation)
