Immanuel Conversation

The purpose of this devotional is to initiate an honest dialogue with the Father about your heart’s desire for marriage. Each day, your guide will be a simple, brief statement, a scripture reference, a prayer, and most importantly, a question to ask God then wait on His reply.

Day One

Fear Be Gone

As a bride-to-be, may the Holy Spirit bestow upon you the strength to confront the spirit of fear. I beseech that as you release the fear of being hurt, betrayed, wounded, abandoned, and unseen, the Father will remove the barriers surrounding your heart. I pray that He will tenderly restore your heart to wholeness as you embark on the journey back to your authentic God-given identity and destiny.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

Prayer

Dear Father,
As I wait for my journey to true love, please be there to guide me in rebuilding trust with others and, above all, with myself. Help me conquer my fears, small and large, and embrace the truth that you’ve given me a spirit of power, love, and a clear mind.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Meditation with the Father
Where has fear crept into your life, preventing you from embracing love?
How does your past fear hinder your ability to trust?
Day Two

Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear
God is love. When we choose to make love the foundation of our lives, we dwell in God, and God dwells in us. In this way, love takes root, grows strong within us, and liberates us from worry because our position in the world mirrors Christ’s. Perfect love leaves no room for fear; it drives out all fear, including the fear of marriage or of making deep commitments. Fear paralyzes, but a life perfected by love breaks free from fear—whether it’s fear of death, judgment, or intimacy.

God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God, and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.
1 John 4:17-18 (MSG)

Prayer

Dear Father,
Thank You for Your perfect love. Love that casts out fear. With Your love, we do not fear and can be courageous in all things. Father, I ask for Your continued protection around my heart. I ask You to give me a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. I pray for renewed hope and courage. I pray for mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional healing. Holy Spirit, fill every part of me, and let Your perfect love be manifest through me.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Meditation with the Father
Are you genuinely capable of accepting that God loves you unconditionally?
If the answer is no, do you transfer the inability to be loved by God into your dating relationships?
Day Three

Truly Forgive and Truly Forgiven

Pray like this: My Beloved Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of Your Name be the center on which my life turns. Manifest Your kingdom realm, and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven. I acknowledge You as My Provider of all I need each day. Forgive me the wrongs I have done as I release forgiveness to those who have wronged me. Rescue me every time I face tribulation and set me free from evil, for You are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13 (Personalized)

What exists in heaven is what we should expect and pursue on earth; anything less is a counterfeit. If something does not belong in heaven, it has no place on earth. God's plan always prevails, and He provides abundantly for us. Everything we have is within God—nothing stands apart from Him. Forgiveness is always available to us through His grace. God never withholds forgiveness, so neither should we. He rescues and liberates us because living in bondage and distress is not His will for us. God’s power is immeasurable, though we sometimes forget just how mighty He truly is.

Jesus gives us clear instruction on how to pray: we are to approach God sincerely, seeking intimacy rather than attention. Authenticity in private is what God desires most—true, genuine connection with Him.

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus emphasizes forgiveness. He is direct: the Father does not want us to carry unforgiveness at any level. If we do not forgive others, we ourselves cannot expect forgiveness. Unforgiveness can also create a ripple effect, impacting every area of our lives.

True forgiveness prepares you to step into marriage with a whole and healed heart. May you find the strength to release every burden and every person who could be holding you back from the joy of becoming a wife for life (this includes forgiving yourself!).
Prayer

Dear Father,
Grant me genuine forgiveness so that I can enter marriage with a whole heart and a healed soul. Provide me with the strength to release every burden and every person I need to forgive, including myself.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Meditation with the Father

Is there anyone—an ex-husband, ex-boyfriend, former partner, one-night stand, someone who wronged you, a parent, child, sibling, yourself, or an abuser—whom you still hold unforgiveness in your heart?

Day Four
Off the Hook

You've journeyed through forgiving others and yourself. Now, as a final, often-overlooked step, look deep within: Is there any trace of unforgiveness or blame toward God?
In the stillness, allow yourself to be completely honest—God already knows your heart, and He welcomes your honesty. If you discover any unforgiveness or disappointment toward Him, bring it into the open. He is not afraid of your feelings; He can handle your honesty, and He desires to meet you there with healing and love.

It was fitting for us to have such a High Priest [perfectly adapted to our needs], holy, blameless, unstained [by sin], separated from sinners and exalted higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 7:26 (AMP)
Prayer

Dear Father,
Today I confess, with humility and honesty, that I have harbored disappointment, questions, and even blame against You in my heart. I acknowledge that holding onto these things has only weighed me down and hindered my relationship with You. I choose, by an act of my will and in obedience to Your Word, to ask forgiveness for what I have not understood and to release every offense I have held.
I surrender every burden, every accusation, and every disappointment at Your feet. Search my heart, Lord, and expose any hidden places where I am still withholding trust or harboring resentment towards you. Break every chain of bitterness and unbelief. Empower me to walk forward in true faith, restored and free.
Thank You, Father, for Your relentless mercy and for never turning away from me, even when I have struggled to trust You.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Meditation with the Father

Have you harbored blame toward God for your season of singleness, allowing feelings of loneliness or hopelessness about marriage to take root?
Are you holding God responsible for your unmet longings or disappointments in this area?

Day Five

Releasing Soul Ties Soul ties can develop from sexual intimacy, deep emotional connections, vows and agreements, trauma and abuse, spiritual practices, or unhealthy attachments. Today let’s turn our focus on the soul ties you have with intimate partners, regardless of gender.

In the stillness of your heart, know that you are safe to answer this question honestly, as you await the presence of the Father.

Meditation with the Father
Are there any ex-husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends., live-ins, or one-night stands with whom you have a soul tie (sexual, mental, emotional, spiritual)?
Soul Tie Release Prayer

Father God, I thank you. I am redeemed. Jesus died for all my sins: past, present, and future. I ask forgiveness, Father, for sinning against you. I confess that I ______________(details of the sin). I repent of my sins and renounce them now. Lord, purify my heart from the memory of it. In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood, I cut myself free from any soul ties that were established with _______ (name(s)).
Satan, I rebuke you in all your works and ways. I rebuke any evil spirits that have a foothold in me. In the name of Jesus, I command you evil spirits to leave me now, never to return.
Father, please heal my soul of any wounds resulting from these soul ties. Reintegrate any part of me that may have been transferred to another through these soul ties and restore me to wholeness.
I also ask that You reintegrate any part of the person(s) with whom I sinned that has been retained in me and restore them to wholeness.
Thank you, Lord, for Your healing power and Your perfect love for me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

Meditation with the Father

After taking time to reflect and feel your soul has been released, as an act of faith, cut a string, ribbon, or similar object to symbolize the liberation of your spirit from all soul ties.
This may trigger the need for deeper healing. I strongly recommend seeking professional help to fully release all remnants of soul ties. Soul Healing or professional counseling are excellent starting points.

Day Six

Take My Body and Drink My Blood

For todays meditation you’ll need something that symbolizes the body and something that represents the blood. I can be water and a cracker. Anything will do.

Confess any unresolved sin or unforgiveness in your life.

Read Matthew 26:20-25 (AMP)
When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples. And as they were eating, He said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you that one of you will betray Me.” Being deeply grieved and extremely distressed, each one of them began to say to Him, “Surely not I, Lord?” Jesus answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the bowl with Me [as a [a]pretense of friendship] will betray Me. The Son of Man is to go [to the cross], just as it is written [in Scripture] of Him; but woe (judgment is coming) to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.” And Judas, the betrayer, said, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” Jesus said to him, “[b]You have said it yourself.”

Pray for those who have betrayed or hurt you.
Let them off the hook.
Ask for forgiveness, if necessary.
Now, pray a blessing over them and their families.
Pause before you partake of His table.
Visualize Jesus in your mind.
Jesus was scourged until He was unrecognizable as a man.
Jesus was forced to wear a crown of thorns.
Jesus was nailed to a cross by having iron spikes driven through his hands and feet.
Jesus had to push His shredded body up a splinter-filled cedar beam just to catch another breath.
Jesus sweat drops of blood in utter agony.
Then . . . with His last breath, He finished the work He came to do. He took all of your sin upon Himself so you could be set free.
Free from sin.
Free from the past.
Free from sickness and disease.
That is how much you are loved.
Love has brought you here. He is beckoning you to His table. Matthew 26:26-30
As they ate, Jesus took the bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to his disciples. He said to them, “This is my body. Eat it.”

Pray for healing or freedom you need in your body and the release of strongholds.
Say aloud: “I am free. I am healed.”
Eat the bread.

Then, taking the cup of wine and giving praises to the Father, he entered into covenant with them, saying, “This is my blood. Each of you must drink it in fulfillment of the covenant. For this is the blood that seals the new covenant. It will be poured out for many for the complete forgiveness of sins."

Pray for yourself and your family.
Pray for your new covenant with the Father.
Then, give thanks for the freedom from your past and the sin in your life.
Drink the cup.

Feel the overwhelming love of Jesus. He loved you so much He gave it all.
Offer thanksgiving to Jesus.

Day Seven: Immanuel Conversation

Immanuel Conversation is a practice for deepening your relationship with God by pausing to reflect and listen for His gentle voice. This dialogue with Immanuel (“God with us”) encourages honest self-exploration and spiritual connection.

Follow these steps to open your heart to God’s voice:

Pause and Breathe: Take several deep breaths to create calm and clarity.

Express Gratitude: Share your thanks with God and invite His response.
Dear God, I am thankful for...
My beloved child, {pause and listen for God’s gentle reply}
Create a quiet space to listen to God.

I see you. {Reflect on what God observes in your feelings and sensations.}

I can hear you. {Notice the thoughts and feelings God hears within you.}

You are valued and understood. {Acknowledge God’s care and imagine His comforting words.}

I delight in you. {Consider the kindness and compassion God shares.}

I can help you. {Ponder how God may support you now.}

Review what you wrote. Pause and be still.

Close with a brief prayer of gratitude.

Meditation with the Father

Share your experience with someone you trust so the Father seals His conversation to your heart.
