Prayer

to refresh your soul and revive your spirit

Prayers

New Year

Dear Father,

I stand before You—heart wide open, fierce and unbreakable. Thank You for breathing new life into us this year. You are the God who sees us, who knows every tear we’ve shed behind closed doors, every silent prayer, every hope buried deep in our hearts. Thank You for being the God of Yes and Amen, who turns pain into purpose and ashes into beauty.

Today, we surrender every disappointment and delay to You, laying every heartbreak at Your feet. We trust that You are weaving our story together for good, even when we cannot see the ending. Give us the courage to believe again, to hope again, to raise our voice and speak faith over our future. Let our yes echo Your promises—yes to Your timing, yes to Your healing, yes to the new things You are birthing in our lives.

Ignite a wildfire of passion in our souls. Give us the persistence to ask, seek, and knock until heaven moves. The chains are breaking, doors are opening, and healing is rushing in like a river. We believe that favor is flowing and that restoration is coming for each of us. Where we have been overlooked, let Your light draw us out. Where we have been weary, breathe Your strength into our bones.

Father, let our lives be living proof that You are faithful. Incredibly faithful! Let the world see Your glory in our stories. With every step, we choose trust, surrender, and relentless hope.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Strength

Dear Father,

I pray You would strengthen me with all power according to Your glorious might, that I may have great endurance and patience, especially as I navigate the challenges of balancing my demands with my commitments. Help me lean on Your strength, not my own, today and every day. Remind me that Your wisdom surpasses all understanding, and Your ways are higher than my ways. Grant me discernment to walk in Your truth and humility to accept Your guidance. May I trust in Your promises, knowing that You work all things for the good of those who love You. Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, place a guard over my heart and mind.

Fill my mind with Your Word so that I may meditate on Your precepts and find direction in every situation. Teach me to listen for Your still, small voice amidst the noise of the world. Let it come like the gentle rustle of leaves in a soft breeze at dawn, a calming whisper in the solitude, so that I may respond with obedience even when I do not see the whole path ahead. Remind me of the countless times You have been faithful in the past, so that I can rest assured in Your faithfulness for the future.

Shape my character with the fruit of Your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Lord, I confess I falter in patience, especially with loved ones, and I ask for Your strength to grow in this area so that my life would be a reflection of Your glory. Help me to forgive as You have forgiven me, to serve others with compassion, and to walk humbly before You all my days.

In Jesus’ Name.. Amen.

Fear

Dear Father,

Thank You, Father. For You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I confess that at times I have allowed fear and anxiety to overwhelm my heart and distract me from Your truth. Please forgive me for doubting Your promises and for the moments when I have let worry take root in my mind. Lord, I ask for Your mercy and grace to cover these shortcomings. Empower me through Your Holy Spirit to recognize fearful thoughts quickly and take every thought captive. Remind me of Your faithfulness and help me to meditate on Your Word, so that Your truth becomes my foundation.

I surrender all my anxious thoughts, insecurities, and concerns to You. I picture myself placing each worry into Your open hand, feeling the weight of them leaving my mind and heart. At Your feet, these anxieties are no match for Your boundless care and strength. In the powerful Name of Jesus, I command all fear to leave my mind, my heart, and my life, and I invite Your peace and strength to fill every part of me. Let Your presence be my comfort and my shield, sustaining me from the inside out. Teach me to walk daily in the assurance of Your perfect love and mighty power, confident that You are always with me, guiding, protecting, and providing for me. Thank You for being my refuge and strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Stillness

Dear Father,

You know the depths of my heart beyond my own understanding. Every challenge, every hope, and every dream rests securely in Your sovereign hands. Impart to me the strength and wisdom to be still and recognize that You alone are God, reigning above all.

You reign from Your holy temple; let everything, including my mind and heart, fall silent before Your unmatched power. As with Elijah, train my spirit to discern Your mighty whisper above the raging storms—the deadlines, the conflicts, all the chaos. Anchor my faith in Your unshakable presence, even as the world trembles around me.

Transform my restless striving into resolute calm. Empower me, like Mary, to sit unwavering at Your feet in reverent awe—undaunted by the demands that surround me. As You commanded the winds and waves, command peace over my heart. Still my soul to hear Your voice of authority now.

“Peace. be still,” You declared, and creation obeyed without hesitation. Forge in me a heart that not only ceases striving, but also knows—deeply and experientially—that You are the Almighty God, supreme over every circumstance.

Shape within me a heart of unshakable peace, content in Your embrace—no longer pleading, but trusting, secure. Let Your presence envelop me with a peace deeper than understanding, as I rest in intimate communion with You. You will be exalted above all the earth, and every detail of my life is already under Your sovereign care. In You, I find true rest.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 16

Dear Father,

Keep me safe, O God;
   in You I take refuge.

I say to the Lord,
   You are My Lord,
   You are My only good.

As for the holy ones who are in the land,
   they are noble,
   in whom is all my delight.

They multiply their sorrows
   who court other gods.
Blood libations to them I will not pour out,
   nor will I take their names upon my lips.

Lord, my allotted portion and my cup,
   You have made my destiny secure.
Pleasant places were measured out for me;
   fair to me indeed is my inheritance.

I bless the Lord Who counsels me;
   even at night my heart exhorts me.
I keep the Lord always before me;
   with Him at my right hand, I shall never be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices;
   my body also dwells secure,
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
   nor let Your devout one see the pit [Hell].

You will show me the path to life,
   abounding joy in Your presence,
   the delights at Your right hand forever.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Discern

Dear Father,

Grant me the wisdom to discern the lessons in each season. I remember, as Ecclesiastes teaches, there is a time for everything under heaven. Help me embrace the changes that come my way and trust wholeheartedly in Your perfect timing. I seek healing for my pain, comfort for my sorrow, and hope for my despair. May I become an instrument of Your peace in a world that often feels fractured. Teach me to extend grace and understanding to others, and to shine brightly as a source of light amidst darkness.

As I navigate my unique journey through life, let me continually seek to honor You through my words and actions. May my life be a reflection of Your love, and may I discover profound joy in the purpose You have placed before me. Help me approach life with a heart that grows in gratitude.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
