The purpose of this devotional is to initiate an honest dialogue with the Father about your heart’s desire for marriage. Each day, your guide will be a simple, brief statement, a scripture reference, a prayer, and most importantly, a question to ask God then wait on His reply.

Final Week

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's incredible what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
Philippians 4:6-9 (MSG)

Dear Father,
We cast all our cares, troubles, doubts, insecurity, fears, and weaknesses on You. Our vulnerability to the enemy and his plans must vanish in Jesus' Name. Our dawn is approaching, and breakthrough is near. We are all being wonderfully transformed and, in the process, growing stronger. No one can convince me that our breakthrough will never come, for who God blesses, no man can curse. We are blessed. We see our victory ahead! Victory is so clear to us that doubt and fear flee instantly. We speak favor into our lives as the overflow of Your abundant blessings pours down upon us. Remove all negativity now in Jesus' Name. Wipeout any signs of oppression, depression, negative thoughts, or suggestions from those around us. Grace us with eternal love, joy, peace, and happiness right now. Show us how to dance in the rain and smile at the storm, knowing that You are with us in every moment. We believe and declare a complete breakthrough in every area is coming into our lives.

We declare Proverbs 4:25-27: I set my gaze on the path before me. With fixed purpose, I look straight ahead, ignoring life's distractions. I watch where I am going! I stick to the path of truth, and the road will be safe and smooth before me. I don't allow myself to be sidetracked for even a moment or take the detour that leads to darkness. (Passion, enhanced)
In Jesus’ Holy and Precious Priceless Name, we stand committed and trust, all these things. Amen.

Day One

Spoken Word

“Prepare the Bride” Spoken Word Over Your Dream of Becoming A Wife for Life
Speak over yourself

I am first, last, and always the Bride of Christ before becoming an earthly bride. Jesus always remains my First Love. I rejoice because You have made me ready to be Your bride.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7 (NIV)
Speak over yourself

I will stand devoted to my Holy Bridegroom first, last, and always. My Holy Bridegroom will forever remain first place in my heart. The Bridegroom Helper (the Holy Spirit) continues to make me ready until You come for me, Jesus. I am a work in progress, and my life as the Bride of Christ is my number one priority.
Statement of Intent

As you stand devoted and making yourself ready for The Bridegroom – so also make yourself prepared for your earthly betrothed.

Pray over yourself

My betrothed, my earthly love, has been hand-picked for me by my First Love. I am making myself ready for his arrival. I declare my husband will now and forever occupy second place in my heart, in my life. My union with my husband changes my life in every area from “I” to “us.” I will sacrifice my selfish desires and put aside my independent ways to love, serve, and see my husband as a gift from you. You have intended for me to enter into the covenant of marriage – that covenant of marriage is sacred and something I fully intend to honor and esteem. Prepare my heart for the union with my betrothed. Just as you have readied and continued to ready my heart to prepare me to be Your bride, please do the same and prepare me to be an earthly bride.
Pray this scripture of your heart

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind andthoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].
Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].

Day Two

Heart Inventory

Heart Inventory Questionnaire
Find stillness to answer these questions with complete honesty as you sit in the presence of your Father.
What is your vision for your marriage?
{Maybe write it down and put it in place you will see every day.}
Have you set very clear boundaries and are resolute about the attributes you desire in your mate?
Are you indeed convicted not to settle for anything less?
Do you trust God's plan?

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. Habakkuk 2:2 (ESV)
Dear Father,
I ask for revelation from You today. Give me eyes to see what You have planned for my marriage.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Hard Seasons

Dear Father,
Life is full of hard seasons, and suffering is an unavoidable part of it. I pray that you would grant me the strength to endure my suffering with grace. I find solace in the simplicity of standing firm on the battlefield’s front lines, knowing that there is only one way out of my struggle—by surrendering everything to you.
Father, I give it all to you, all of it!
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Broken Places

Dear Father,
I humbly request that you heal the broken places in my heart. Please take their sorrow and pain and replace them with a renewed and restored heart. I am battling the spirit of hopelessness in my life, and I pray that their minds would be renewed and my spirit revived.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Unfulfilled Expectations

Dear Father,
I acknowledge the weight and bondage of unfulfilled expectations, shattered dreams, and broken promises. I release all these burdens into Your hands. May Your Word serve as a protective shield around my heart, shielding me from bitterness. Fill me with Your love, expand my heart to embrace abundant peace, and keep me safe. Guide me along the narrow path into Your Glorious and Safe Presence.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope and keep at it till the finish. Don’t drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.
Hebrews 6:11-12 (MSG)
God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not?
He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, an impregnable castle: I’m set for life. Psalms 62:5-6 (MSG)

Day Four
Extraordinary Asking Question
God will go out of His way to get our attention and reveal Himself to us in unmistakable ways in our daily lives. God delights in showing us that the physical realm doesn’t bind Him. After all, He is the creator of everything.

Waiting for marriage is a powerful example of trusting God to work beyond what we see. Just as Jesus walked on water, transforming an everyday act into a miracle, God can turn our waiting into something extraordinary. Scripture encourages us further with Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." This promise assures us that our waiting is not in vain. Similarly, Psalm 27:14 reminds us, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" These passages ground our understanding that the act of waiting, especially concerning marriage. However, it may feel ordinary or challenging, it is the very means through which God often reveals His faithfulness in ways we could never imagine.

But what makes it extraordinary?
The deep-water season! In this phase of life, much like navigating uncharted waters, we find a unique adventure that challenges our trust and patience. It's not just about biding time; it's about embracing the journey and preparing for what God has in store.
Waiting for God to bring a husband is not wasted time; it is a sacred season of hope, growth, and trust. Every day you wait is an act of worship—a bold declaration that you trust God's love and timing above all. In a world that rushes to settle, your patience proclaims that God's promises are worth every moment of anticipation. He is preparing you, deepening your faith, and crafting a story more beautiful than you can imagine. Take heart: God never forgets His promises, and your waiting is filled with purpose and hope.
Consider integrating daily practices into this sacred season to prepare your heart and mind actively. Engage in moments of silence to listen for God's voice, immerse yourself in Scripture meditation to keep His promises close, and seek service opportunities that not only enrich others but also cultivate humility and love within you. These gentle rhythms can transform waiting from a passive state into a journey of lived discipleship, bringing depth and meaning to this unique period of anticipation.

You are standing in faith, waiting on God to fulfill His promises in the area of marriage. Choosing to wait for marriage and trust in God’s timing may feel as challenging as walking on water. Yet, God honors those who wait on Him and delights in fulfilling His promises in unexpected ways.

Meditation with the Father

Envision yourself sitting at a kitchen table at dawn, the soft light gently spilling over a steaming cup of tea, as you invite the Father to speak to your heart. In this peaceful, sacred moment, tune in to the silence that holds the whispers of divine wisdom.

Day Five

My Waiting Season

We all face seasons of discouragement. There is no shame in feeling discouraged. However, it is essential not to remain discouraged. God will not withhold anything necessary to bring you through any difficult situation.
Do you think this is true for your life, situation, and marital status?
Do you feel God may be holding out on you?

So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else He wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?
Romans 8:31-33 (MSG)
Dear Father,
We thank You that the blood of Jesus has sealed every promise in Your Word in Your covenant of love! Father, we receive boldness and confidence right now to face every ounce of discouragement or doubt. Holy Spirit, thank You for leading and guiding us into truth.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.
{Let this be your heart prayer}
Before you experience this meditative prayer, sit with the Father and invite Him to come into your presence. Then, take a deep breath and just sit with the Father for a moment.
Dear Father,
I desperately need to hear from you. Help me recognize when You are speaking to me. Let me not compare myself to others. You speak to me uniquely because you made me unique. Your Word promises that I will hear Your voice and follow You because I am Your daughter! Open my spiritual eyes and ears to hear and see Your heart and those things You have for me. Help me know Your voice so I may bless and encourage others.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Response: My Prayer Over You
I declare over you in Jesus' Name that the doors of opportunity about your future will illuminate you, and the spirit of understanding will rest upon you. You have increased wisdom! I declare revelation will come to you through God's mouthpieces. I declare you will see mighty demonstrations of His love happening in you, through you, and around you. Right now, I declare the Holy Spirit rests upon you and is giving you fresh vision for the life He has planned for you.
In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Day Six

The Marriage of Three
This act of hope will draw your heart into unity by the spirit with the Father, your future husband, and yourself. Find a quiet space where you can invite the Father to come and be with you as you make this heart offering to Him. You will need two candles (votives, birthday candles, tapers, battery candles) or small lights (flashlight, phone light, small lamps) of any kind, and string, ribbon, yarn, or the like to tie around your lights.
Sit in quiet reflection as you invite His Presence. When you are ready, picture your future husband in your mind. As you sit in a peace-filled bliss, see the Father standing with you both. Watch Him knit your hearts together. Two hearts becoming one! Don't rush. Just sit and absorb this moment.
When you are able, pray for your future husband. Be aware of any words or thoughts the Father is giving you.

{Bride} - Ignite a candle {or turn on a light} that represents your family tree.
{Bride} - Ignite a candle that represents your husband's family tree.
These two candles {lights} represent the individual lives of you and your future spouse. Your different families, separate sets of friends, and everything and everyone that has worked together to help you become who you are as children of the King.
{Bride} - Take a string, ribbon, or something you can tie around your lights to represent the Father's love, protection, and covering of you and your soon-to-be husband. Then, prayerfully with a heart surrendered, wrap the string, ribbon, or whatever you are using to represent the Father around your light and the light that represents your groom, creating an infinity ring of unity.

Exhortation:

Fire represents the passion and purity of your love for both the Father and your spouse.
Fire also represents security in your place in your family.
Fire symbolizes the beauty and vitality of the love God has predestined for you both to experience.
The string represents perfect harmony and oneness with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
This light represents perfect love that will enrich and sustain your lives through the years ahead.
The Father's wrapping symbolizes His endless love and the promise of protection for you all the days of your married life.
God has destined for you to live together in happiness and joy all the days of your life. That is His plan for your life.

Day Seven: Immanuel Conversation

This final devotional for today, the final Immanuel Conversation, I invite you to open your heart and visualize yourself standing before the Lord as a bride, the bride you have long awaited to become.
Now, imagine yourself alone in the bridal dressing room, adorned in your wedding dress and veil, eagerly waiting to see your husband.
In this sacred space, begin your Immanuel conversation with the Lord.

Immanuel Conversation is a practice for deepening your relationship with God by pausing to reflect and listen for His gentle voice. This dialogue with Immanuel (“God with us”) encourages honest self-exploration and spiritual connection.

Follow these steps to open your heart to God’s voice:

Pause and Breathe: Take several deep breaths to create calm and clarity.

Express Gratitude: Share your thanks with God and invite His response.
Dear God, I am thankful for...
My beloved child, {pause and listen for God’s gentle reply}
Create a quiet space to listen to God.

I see you. {Reflect on what God observes in your feelings and sensations.}

I can hear you. {Notice the thoughts and feelings God hears within you.}

You are valued and understood. {Acknowledge God’s care and imagine His comforting words.}

I delight in you. {Consider the kindness and compassion God shares.}

I can help you. {Ponder how God may support you now.}

Review what you wrote. Pause and be still.

Close with a brief prayer of gratitude.
